Caroline’s Art
Caroline creates paintings, which have an organic nature and meditative quality. She is inspired by the notion that the only constant in life is change and that the forces underlying everything that we see are in constant motion. We are able to see the unseen in moments of beauty like a billow of air dancing with smoke or a gust of wind embracing dry autumn leaves. Caroline is inspired by the desire to capture the transient nature of time in a static form and her paintings represent the intangible and the unseen made manifest.
Caroline studied History of Art at the University of Warwick where she gained a BA honours degree, after which she went on to study life drawing and cast drawing for a year in Sydney, Australia. She then returned to the UK and completed an SQC in Psychology at Oxford Brookes University. Subsequently she returned to art, studying Sculpture in London.
